This recipe came to me from Meg Rost, a fine
Christian lady, and I have been using it since 1987.

-
3 large eggs
-
2/3 cup sugar
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/3 cup butter (melted)
-
1 cup dark corn syrup
-
1 cup pecan halves
-
Pastry for one 9" one-crust pie

Beat the first five ingredients together with a rotary mixer.
Stir in the pecan halves and pour into a pastry-lined pie pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until filling is set and pastry is
nicely browned.
Serve cool or only slightly warm.
