On a cool, dry, sunny Labor Day Sunday, the seventh annual
reunion of the Teterus and Oxspring families (along with friends, beloved
neighbors, and anyone else we feel like inviting) took place at Linda's parents'
house not far from Dublin, Pennsylvania.
Lots of people showed up, actually more than we expected. Some folks weren't here this year, but others came for the first time. The weather was perfect (the violent thunderstorm held off until the next day), and some of us set up tents and campers next to the lake. There was a ton of food to eat. And of course there were horseshoes, badminton, and volleyball, but this year we also added rockets! Ryan brought his set of two rockets and we launched them. Then we had "rocket spotting", where the object was to stare up into the trees until you could see where the rocket had landed. And then we had "precision volleyball throwing", in which Michael repeatedly hurls a volleyball high into the tree the rocket is stuck in, attempting to knock it free. And then we had "well, let's just forget about the rockets, shall we?".
As the sun set over the back lakes, those of us who were camping out set up a campfire and sat around telling stories, stuffing our mouths with marshmallows, and trying to say "Chubby Bunny". We never get enough photos at these events. If you have any you'd like to see here, please mail us copies and we'll scan them and put them in. If you like, can scan them yourself and email them to us (please be nice and limit the size to under 40K).
By the way, all of these web-worthy photos were taken by Megan (Net-Meg) Teterus and her aunt Linda Lipman
